Pre-mix, pass-through coolers

COOLING AND DISPENSING SYSTEMS FOR DRINKS BY PASSAGE

We produce various types of pass-through coolers for any type of drinks.

The drinks to be cooled are not stored inside the machine itself but rather inside other types of containers (kegs, tanks, bag in boxes) from which they are taken and circulated inside the machine's stainless steel coils which are immersed in water kept cold, close to 0°, by the refrigeration unit (so-called 'ice counter'). During this passage the drinks cool down and continue their journey arriving at the taps from which they are drawn ready for immediate consumption.
This type of refrigerator is called PRE-MIX and can be of the over-counter or under-counter type.
The former are usually positioned above the bar counter and have the double function of cooler and dispenser as they are equipped with tapping taps mounted directly on the body of the premix itself. The latter are positioned out of sight, under the counter, and have the sole function of cooling the drink which is then sent to the dispensers (typically the columns we see in bars)
The drinks arrive at the pre-mixes pushed by gas from a cylinder, in the case of drawing from drums, or by pumps in the case of bag in boxes or non-pressurised tanks. If the drink is contained in kegs, nitrogen (N) is used for still wines and carbon dioxide (CO2) for beer or sparkling wines. A fundamental parameter for choosing the model is the hourly consumption, i.e. how many liters of drink pass through the coils of the machine as it is clear that, for example, if a pre-mix has a capacity to dispense a maximum of 50 litres/hour and the user exceeds this limit, the ice bank will gradually begin to heat up with the result that the poured drinks will cool less than they did initially
