Our keg washer is a manual machine designed for washing and sanitizing kegs of wine, beer or other drinks.
Features of the keg washer
The keg to be treated is placed upside down on the base of the keg washer.
A pneumatically operated piston compresses the valve (spinon) of the keg on a suitably modified tapping head, causing it to open and thus allowing the washing liquid to enter the keg.
The keg washer must be connected to an air compressor to allow the operation of the pneumatic piston
Another necessary connection to the keg washer is to a pump (or a pressure washer) which pushes the washing liquid into the keg at a pressure of no less than 3 bar. The flow of the liquid is directed through the spinon tube towards the bottom of the keg where the sediments to be removed collect.
The washing liquid is automatically expelled by pressure through the second opening of the tapping head; the one normally used for the gas inlet
- The keg washer is equipped with adjustable brackets to adapt to any type of keg
- The frame and all parts of the keg washer are in AISI 304
- The use of chemical sanitizers is permitted for better cleaning by connecting the keg washer drain to a recirculation tank where the pump collects the washing liquid
- The keg washer can mount any tapping head modified to adapt to the various types of taps
